Contributing to the Programming Effort
I spend a good proportion of my time developing free software, or rather, practically all of the programming I do
is for free software. Occasionally, something useful actually appears! XDMChoose is
a good example. KRoC/Linux is free software, but much of its development was sort of
funded (PhD studentship, thanks EPSRC!). Since September 2002 I've sort of
been developing it for free, but that's ok, I enjoy hacking/programming :-).
I do try and support the software wherever possible, but the inbox does get a bit full from time to time..
Anyway, if you use my software and like it, and would like to show your gratitude, I have setup an
amazon wishlist.
Contributors will be listed below, anonymous or otherwise, if/when anyone sends me anything ;-).
- Neil Brown kindly sent me `Taxi 2', cheers :-).
- Josh and Tree sent Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Cheers dudes :-).
- Jim Moores kindly sent me Steven Wolfram's A New Kind of Science. Much fun and interest. Cheers :-).
